Join us to devise from the classic fairytale in this quick class. We'll lean into the themes of generosity and care in the story and explore creative theatre techniques.

It’s summertime, the longest day of the year, but the sun is tired and unsure if it is even any good at being the sun anymore. In order to coax the sun into staying in the sky to celebrate the long midsummer light, the people tell the sun stories about its past, present, and future.
In the process of making this original play, we’ll explore ideas of what we owe each other and how we live in community with each other, even through hard times.

A little bird has died. When we find it, we decide to bury it. We dig a little hole and put it in. Before we cover it up, we tell stories about it, celebrating the life it might have lived and the ones it could have gone on to have. Even after we bury it, it stays with us.
This original play created with the students will meditate on themes of grief, community, and caring for each other through the good times and the bad.

The party is tonight. The party is soon. And we have to get ready. The right clothes, the right hair, the right attitude, the right self.
But first!
We have to think through everything that could possibly go wrong. And everything anyone could possibly say. And every version of ourselves we could possibly be. That’s what everyone does before a party, right?
Join us for an original play, devised with the cast, that explores the agony, the anxiety— and the joy— of becoming ourselves.

It’s the Grand Quadricentennial of the International Convention of Witches and Warlocks—the biggest party in town for the last four centuries. Anyone living, or otherwise, wants a ticket to the party and to get a rare glimpse of the Century Stone—the most magical and coveted gem in the magical universe.
But someone has other plans—a world-renowned team of experts has been assembled to steal the stone and return it to its rightful owner. If all goes according to plan, this story of trust and teamwork will end with a generous reward.

Told through the lens of classic fairy tale ball scenes, “Uninvited” looks at the systems we inherit, and the unspoken rules that bind us.

This K-1st grade cast will work together to re-imagine the opening scene of Sleeping Beauty.

The Giant has fallen, and the beanstalk is down. J is celebrating getting away with the treasure, but everything is not what it seems. This play will look at greed and how the best celebrations don’t need a high dollar sign.

After wandering through Wonderland, we finally arrive at the Mad Hatter’s tea party. Just a nice, relaxing, normal tea party— for about five seconds. Can this 2nd-3rd grade cast keep their heads as they prepare a party everyone can enjoy?
